OUR CREW.

Katie Adler
Producer

Katie is the producer of "Spectrum". She banged the writers' heads together in the writers room, had a script in hand and a seemingly judgmental stare on set, and she knows everything that happens in season two and three. When Katie's not on set she likes to think about her dog while drinking bubble tea.

marcia gillespie
assistant director, manager

Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, she is a real mountain lion. Marcia can be intimidating, but not really. With the voice of a lion, she has the power of getting everyone’s attention by yelling a single word: “Guys!” The savior of the equipment in far too many instances, and the most powerful slater of them all. She will be in LA soon, so every brunch place better get ready. For TGIM Entertainment, Marcia serves as first assistant director, sound and lighting technician, and vocal powerhouse.

dan hoins
script supervisor

Dan Hoins serves as script supervisor and a producer for Spectrum. He is a Television, Radio, and Film major at Newhouse pursuing his masters degree. He is well read, bringing some unusual ideas to the table when needed and helping to inspire and keep track of the production with his notes. He's looking forward to continuing to produce these ideas well after his graduation; you may see his name on a book, graphic novel, or movie in the future.

leah kalmenson
promotions, actress

Graduating in May, Leah is so excited to go back to her hometown of Los Angeles, California, where she will be working at The William Morris Agency. Watch out. For TGIM Entertainment, Leah starred as our troubled Amanda, designed our flagship posters (seen all around Newhouse), and was a great set PA.

mia kuhn
editor

Mia is you number one gal pal, your pizza lovin’ soul sista (thanks Montana), and your all-things makeup knowing person. You can find her in Suite T or as she likes to call her second home, “Sweet Tea” on the fourth floor of Newhouse 2 in the editing bays. She’s a senior and ready to not only get this show on the road but also life.

nikki mezaros
set designer

Nikki is the Production Designer for this project, in charge of set design, props, and other artistic aspects of the production. She is a Television Radio Film major graduating from SU in May of 2015.

jeff rich
writer

Jeff is a senior Television, Radio, Film major from Stamford, CT.    He was a writer for Spectrum and, as you've all  probably noticed from his scene stealing performances, an extra, who portrays the striking Kadok #3. Jeff can often be found in Archbold Gymnasium, because lets be honest - ball is life.  #lifestyle

jaznee wilson
director

Jaznee Wilson is one of the most favorable Television, Radio & Film Master's students at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She serves as one of the Dynamic Directors of Thank God It's Monday Entertainment. The director's unit is her safe place on and off set. When she's not bringing a story to life you can find her on Instagram, eating frozen yogurt and dreaming of Los Angeles. She hopes to move to LA and never experience a Syracuse winter EVER again. She enjoys working with some, joking with all, and laughing...at others. Jaznee is always ready to shoot people, so Quiet on set! Whether she's holding a camera, boom pole or blanket...when she calls Action it's time to make a show!

omar daouk
Producer, promotions

I've served TGIM Entertainment as a consulting producer and marketing/promotions guru (came up with the idea and executed the interactive promotion in NH2!). As a Newhouse Master of TV, Radio, and Film, I can safely say I am ready to hit the road west (destination: LA), where I aspire to make bucket-loads of money, spend countless hours chatting it up my cell phone, and steal Kim Kardashian away from what's his face. None of these things will actually happen, but hey, a kid can dream, right?

dan grove
editor

Born under the alias Garcia Falcon in Chicago Illinois, Dan Grove ventured through the frozen tundra of Upstate New York to reach Syracuse. However, upon taking a wrong turn at Oswego, he found himself lost in the greater Boston area for about 13 years. Eventually he found his way here at Syracuse University where he is currently pursuing a degree in Television-Radio-Film. You can usually find him flailing his arms and yelling incomprehensible things at Funk & Waffles’ Open Mic Night, scarfing down a Bloomin’ Newman at Outback Steakhouse, or in the lab discovering new tech to use at the next big UMvC3 tourney (current team: Vergil (y); Magneto (a); Dante (a);). @DanTheComedian_

orly israel
writer

A self-proclaimed writer hailing from Los Angeles, California, this kid can’t wait to graduate so he can dive into the Hollywood arena. A character shrouded in mystery, not much is known about his personal life. Rumors say that he can be found skateboarding in infinite circles around the fifth floor of Newhouse 1. Some people claim he’s a ghost, while others dispute whether or not he exists at all. Regardless, he usually spends what little free time he has either searching for love, thinking about whales, or eating paste.

carly konsker
 director

Carly is a senior, Television, Radio, and Film major and a marketing minor from New York City. She serves as the casting director for Spectrum, as well as one of the two incredible directors for Thank God It’s Monday Entertainment. She is a proud member of the director’s unit, the best unit, made up of jimenee, narly, carnee, wilsker, and carmenee. After basically living in Newhouse for the last four years, she hopes to find her way onto the red carpet reporting the latest in entertainment news. Yes, she has a blackberry. Yes, she is the red head. Yes, for some reason, she can’t keep that smile off her face.

Montana mcbirney
production manager

Montana McBirney is the production manager for Thank God It's Monday Entertainment, where she worked on the television show "Spectrum." She bugged actors about schedules, always bought pizza, and made everyone wake up way too early. You can see her work next in 'any job application ever,' because she is graduating and needs a job like ASAP.

shannon o'connor
lead actress

Shannon is the only Shay Miller in the world; the true star of our show. She’s crossed over from the theater world where she belted her face off on stages from here to Scotland. Just a small town girl from Long Island, “hi mom (Cindy)!!!” This is her second dome graduation from VPA to Newhouse, and Shannon has been thrilled to work with the TGIM Entertainment crew…we did it!!

megen white
writer

Megen White is a graduating Masters student.  She worked as a writer on the show. In her free time she enjoys eating bon-bons and pretending that she lives in a far away and exotic place.

jimena wu
cinematographer

Jimena Wu is one of those people you think you know but then BAM, a Latin cinematographer comes to life. Proudly strutting her latin roots through campus, she has accomplished more than she could've ever imagined during her journey with TGIM Entertainment: she has grown a third bionic arm attached to a camera. She can zoom, focus, AND carry a camera at the same time.  Not only can she do these three things simultaneously while talking in Spanish, but she also has a unique perspective of the world. A combination of two cultures that she beautifully portrays through the lens in "Spectrum". Fearless, passionate, and arms that only holding a camera for hours of shooting can give you, Jimena is always up for a challenge.
PS: Currently looking for a job. She promises hard work, responsibility, and great latin music playlists.
